A Legacy That Lives On Via Education
One life. A lasting legacy. Five opportunities to make a difference every academic year Education has the power to transform not only individual lives, but also families, communities, and entire generations. Yet, for many talented young Cameroonians, financial challenges can stand between them and the education they need to build a better future.
The Bartholomew Nkwi Legacy Scholarship was established in honor of a man whose life reflected the values of education, integrity, discipline, leadership, faith, and service to others.
Through this initiative, Sovate Institute of Technology seeks to carry those values forward by helping deserving Cameroonian students pursue their Higher National Diploma (HND) studies.
Our goal is to support five students every academic year, providing scholarship assistance valued at 350,000 FCFA per student. Beyond financial support, we hope to inspire each recipient to use their education, skills, and opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to society.
This is more than financial assistance. It is an investment in people, potential, and the future of Cameroon.
The Man Behind the Legacy

As a teacher, school administrator, mentor, football coach, and servant of the Church, he touched lives in ways that extended far beyond his professional responsibilities. His journey reflected a belief in the importance of discipline, accountability, lifelong learning, and helping others grow. Whether guiding students, serving educational institutions, supporting his community, or strengthening family relationships, he sought to make a difference through service.
